In the data industry, we believe if you stop learning even for a moment, you’ve fallen behind. That’s why we invest a lot of time in perfecting our career ladder, in setting ambitious personal development objectives, and in encouraging our people to stay curious.
It’s also why everyone at Optima gets half a day each week to dedicate to learning, away from client deadlines and free to explore new technologies, new perspectives, and ideas that interest them. All we ask is that from time to time they share what they’ve learned – or built – with the rest of the team.
Exams aren’t for everyone, and so we don’t force our people to complete technology certifications. We do, however, have a training budget for everyone. This means if you want to gain an accreditation in Azure, Sitecore, GCP, Snowflake or any other relevant technology or methodology, the answer will almost always be ‘of course’ (no pun intended!).
